This is a post from last Sunday from my other website, Major Seventh Music. (There’s free music involved, so I thought I’d share.)
It’s Sunday, and if you’re in the U.S., you’ll have enjoyed the extra hour of sleep but will be slightly depressed when night comes oh-so-quickly (I should know – in the U.K. we changed our clocks a week ago).
So I thought I’d share some music I was fortunate enough to discover today via last.fm. Her name is Uri Nakayama (中山うり), and she is a Japanese singer-songwriter (and hairdresser, apparently, according to her bio).
I could provide a description of her music (many acoustic instruments), her voice (kinda reminds me of Rumer), or how it makes me feels (relaxed and dreamy – perfect accompaniment to the oncoming night).
But I don’t really have to, because the track I’m listening to is available for free download on last.fm. So you can get it yourself and tell me what you think.
(Oh, by the way, the lyrics are all in Japanese, which I myself only understand a few words of. I would argue that this is unimportant, but you may disagree.)
